This website is for those who enjoy, or are curious about, birds. It mostly contains photographs of these beautiful creatures, with observations added about them that I hope many will find interesting. They are limited to the species that I have actually observed--a good number, but far less than in a field guide. The observations reflect the evolution of my own knowledge. Some are comments about the bird's behavior, others about its preferred habitat, the locations where I have seen it, how to distinguish it from similar species, or some other aspect that I think viewers may find interesting. Above is an example for the Ridgway's Rail.
