Mountain Bluebird
Sialia currucoides
These Mountain Bluebirds, a kind of thrush, were observed on May 30, 2013 by the Madison River in Yellowstone National Park, WY. This was during the nesting season, and the bright blue male on the right in each picture appeared to be bringing food to the female on the left. The female does all of the incubation work, and the male provides most of the food. (Click on images to see enlarged versions.)
